Job Description:

The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire an experienced Mobile Media Specialist to provide support for the School of Journalism at West Virginia University. This position provides development and deployment of media-based web, mobile and tablet applications using the latest technologies, including PHP, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3. Incumbent is responsible for the development of an open-source media publishing system, and creating innovative location-based media services. Will also coordinate a mobile initiative region wide and deploy applications in selected communities.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, New Media Communications or related field; two to four years’ experience programming, developing and designing new media applications; and one to two years project management experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for requisites.
