Flash Developer

at Bean Creative (Alexandria, VA, USA) Freelance Saturday, October 30th, 2010

Job Description:

Do you have a flair for FLAIR (Flash, Flex, AIR)?

YOU: Killer interactive designer/developer who uses design, Flash and Actionscript to blow people away with interactive experiences.

US: Award winning web and interactive studio. Yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah,, aka bunch of folks who like to create awesome interactive stuff while having a good time doing it.

MORE WORDS TO READ: We have a great team of interactive designers and developers, and are looking to add a new face into the mix; new ideas and clever results. You’d work under our art direction and side-by-side with our design and development team in a collaborative environment. We have a lot of Bean Happy Fun Time (we embrace the good times so much that we’ve branded it) with a group of self-starters who work and play well together. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects from storyboard to finished product. We’re looking for someone to make interactive experiences that work great AND look great. Is that you? If so, have you sent your resume yet? We’re waiting.

Here’s the kind of experience we need from you:

* Flash with ActionScript 3.0 required; Flex and AIR ideal

* HTML5 skills would be great, too

* Strong interactive user interface design

* Flash production – working with a design team to translate Photoshop and Illustrator designs to functional, interactive applications

* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

* Ability to stay focused and deliver work on time

* Strong communication skills

* Desire to continue to learn and grow as our industry changes

OK, so you checked off all of the above. That’s good. What about these: Mobile apps (like maybe on the iPhone, iPad or Android devices)? Other programming languages? Wicked skill at skeeball? All optional, but good to have.

How to apply:

NOW WHAT? If you made it this far and are thinking, ‘I am so perfect for this job they might as well have called it “[YOUR NAME HERE]’s New Job” in the listing,’ then we want to hear from you ([email protected] — no calls please). We need to see and experience your portfolio of work, and we need to know your desired salary ranges. Seems simple enough to get started, right? Cool. Let’s do this.
