Job Description:

LiveProfile is seeking an experienced BlackBerry developer to help architect and build our mobile application. We are a fast-paced mobile start-up looking for a creative, talented, and energetic individual to add to our team. You’ll be engineering mobile applications which help shape our mobile strategy that will be used by millions on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement new features along side designers and fellow developers

-Contribute creativity and critical thinking to optimally implement new features

-Investigate new bugs while comprehensibly test one’s own code for bugs and efficiency

-Offer thought leadership and reliable execution ability in a fast-paced environment

-Have ability to multi-task, prioritize work load, and meet deadlines

-Identify potential performance problems and optimization possibilities

-Investigate bug reports, develop fixes, and implement improvements

Experience:

-Strong Java development background

-Minimum 1 year of BlackBerry or J2ME experience

-Solid understanding of the BlackBerry platform, including custom UI and compatibility of screen and OS levels

-Multi-Threading and memory management on mobile devices

-BlackBerry development expertise with RIM API and Frameworks

-Experience with cross-platform mobile development is a plus (Android, iPhone, Symbian)

Education:

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience preferred
